Complex dynamics and the development of behavioural individuality

Abstract

Organisms within a population show consistent behaviour differences and these differences may be due to chaotic dynamics throughout development. By controlling for genetic and environmental variation, we can determine other factors that may influence behavioural phenotypic variation. Deterministic chaos throughout development may aid in facilitating these differences despite controlling for genetic and environmental variation.
